UPDATE: NY VPN node back to normal.

Some of our users may have noticed that our New York location has been live for a few days now; we just wanted everything back to 100% before we gave the all-clear.  Hurricane Sandy has been one of the most costly natural disasters to affect the northeastern U.S. in history.  To help those impacted by this storm, we recommend donating to The Red Cross @ http://www.redcross.org.

Thanks for your patience, and we again apologize for any inconvenience.

Best,
Team proXPN

ALERT: NY VPN node down due to Hurricane Sandy.

To our users –

Earlier today, our hosting provider in New York City was forced to evacuate staff from its Broad Street datacenter as the location took on an enormous amount of floodwater.  Thankfully, no one was injured, however, the datacenter itself has been severely compromised.  This, of course, has resulted in our NY VPN node going offline, and due to the conditions on the ground, we are unable to predict when it or any other similar provider in the region will be available again.

We ask that you utilize one of our other VPN nodes in the meantime, and we will update you as soon as we have actionable information.

Best,
Team proXPN
