proXPN proudly announces the release of v2.4.10 for Windows XP/Vista/7

New features in v2.4.10:

* Added an application style menu bar with menus added to the application window.
* Users can now check account status at any time via the menu.

Recently, we implemented a few changes to our free user accounts and upgrades for proXPN Premium accounts.

We’ve changed the bandwidth limitation to 100Kbps for free accounts, and for network security, we are restricting all ports except standard web browsing.

proXPN Premium users continue to enjoy:

  • Full access to all ports (torrent, FTP, SSH etc . . . )
  • Access to all locations world-wide (NL, USA, SG, UK)
  • Unlimited  and bandwidth and speeds upto 1000 mbps!
  • Bit Torrent capable
  • Custom port selection for proXPN to connect **(this is coming soon! Great for getting around blocked ports**)
  • Choose, PPTP or VPN

proXPN v2.4.9 for Windows released

proXPN is pleased to announce the release of proXPN v2.4.9 for Windows (XP/Vista/7/Server 2003/Server 2008, 32 & 64 bit).
In this version:
  • VPN Mode is saved
  • Better support for PPTP VPN servers (connection/stability improvements)
  • Fixed PPTP connection issue after connection failure (previously required restart of proXPN)

proXPN v2.3.0 for Mac released

We’re pleased to announce the release of proXPN v2.3.0 for Mac.

Changes in this version:
  • PPTP VPN connection support. No longer is it necessary to set up a separate PPTP connection in mac network settings.  Simply select the VPN mode (OpenVPN or PPTP) and connect to the city of your choice.
  • Choice of VPN Mode is saved.
  • Tested and working on OSX 10.7 (Lion)

Mac Bugfix Released!

We’ve released a new mac client version (v2.2.9) that addresses a bug that causes the client to crash when it’s launched but cannot connect to the server(s).

proXPN Mac Client Re-released

proXPN News | Mac client for proXPN is now available. We’ve re-released our mac client for proXPN. Log in and download from https://proxpn.com/login.php

proXPN 4.2.3 Released!

We released 4.2.3 today, which resolves an issue with some users being unable to see their upgrade in the client. Mac client has also been upgraded to fix the same problem.

Port 80 is now open for business

Due to popular demand, we’ve opened port 80 so that certain users no longer need to go through a proxy to connect.  For now, users can update their proxpn config file by hand – coming soon in a new release, we’ll have the option for users to choose specific ports to connect to.
