JC from OpenCandy Responds

JC from OpenCandy was nice enough to contact us in person about the issues OpenCandy is facing with regards to their software being flagged by anti-virus programs as malware.

His email is reprinted below with his permission:

“ProXPN Team,

I hope all is well with you today. I recently saw your blog post about OpenCandy here: http://blog.proxpn.com/2011/02/142

I completely understand your decision to pull your OC-integrated build from your site during this time. As you know, OpenCandy’s core mission is to the users and developers of good software. We are as concerned over the false positives as you are and are working ourselves to death to getting it resolved. Many of the AV companies have already cleared this as a false positive, but we still have some work to do and look to have a resolution shortly.

We value your business, and most importantly, your users. As soon as this is resolved we will let you know and we can be back up and running. We appreciate your support and ask that you contact us if you need anything.

Thanks for everything!

Regards,
JC”
